Sales Representative Reports to:
Director of Sales Position Overview:
This position will sell and provide customer support for dealers and clients on all John Deere products and be a back-up for the sales of CNH and all other parts, at IHLE Fabrication.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for making outbound in-person and phone sales calls and taking inbound calls from customers or prospects.
Duties and Knowledge:
Have in-depth working knowledge of all John Deere products manufactured at IHLE Fabrication.
This would include understanding the entire process from manufacturing, packaging, shipping and the installation of the products.
Ability to provide customer inquiries with accurate product information, their uses, benefit, application and the industry in general.
Must be able and comfortable making several outbound proactive calls per day, along with others on the Sales Team, to generate interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.
Answer inbound sales and service calls.
Provide appropriate support for sales team, especially when others on the team are traveling.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients in the Agriculture industry.
This would require making in person sales calls to John Deere and Independent Dealers.
Implement strategies for sales in assigned customer base and new clients to identify new opportunities.
Travel on a regular basis to existing customer base and prospects.
Make recommendations to Leadership, Sales and Production on any issues or improvements with product and the sales process.
Work with the sales team and leadership to ensure customer needs are being met.
Communicate with customers in a professional manner and direct inquiries and messages to appropriate stakeholders.
Collaborate with all departments of IHLE Fabrication to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
Attend trade shows when requested to promote IHLE Fabrications products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent 5
years of experience in Agriculture Sales preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Ag equipment, preferably with John Deere combines.
Skills:
Strong phone presence Ability to develop new account relationships by making in-person prospect calls on John Deere and Independent Dealers Possesses a proactive and results-oriented mentality.
Ability to work within a high-paced early-growth company.
Ability to work effectively within a teamwork environment in a collaborative manner.
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills Exercises sound business judgment Have self-direction and drive.
Adaptable and flexible.
Occupational Requirements:
